Chinese prostitution in Hong Kong. (since
the Commission visited Hong Long, steps have been taken
for the closing of European brothels and Chinese brothels which catered for Europeans see 92616/32.-The Governor
of Hongkong stated in paragraph 3 of his Confidential (3)
despatch of the 15th January, 1932((1) on 92616,) that
he proposed to call for a report on the situation with
regard to Chinese brothels in Hong Long in about 12
months' time, and thereafter to take such action as
might appear to be advisable to bring about their complete
abolition within a reasonable period.
A report on
this subject may, therefore, be expected from Hong Kong
shortly).
